Dear Students and Syracuse University Community,
We, in the Office of Student Assistance, want to acknowledge that our country and our campus have been deeply impacted by the election cycle, which at times has become a venue for hatred, hurtful, and divisive statements and sentiments. Whether the election was a celebratory event or a disappointing event for you, we hope that our community both at Syracuse University and across the country will move forward in healing and coming together. We strive to be an environment which encourages discourse and positive action and we encourage everyone to take the time to reflect inwardly, to take care of yourself as well as those around you.
It is important to seek support from the many resources available here at Syracuse University. Our office is one of those resources. Please feel free to contact us at 315.443.4357 or at email@example.com . We challenge ourselves and those around us to strive toward healing and to take action to enhance our community to become a safer, more inclusive environment in which we celebrate our differences and the value that each individual story and experience brings to our campus community and our humanity.
