Procedural Advising

Student Assistance coordinates connecting students to procedural advisors. A procedural advisor (PA) is a member of Syracuse University staff or faculty who has volunteered to be trained to assist students who find themselves in the University Student Conduct Process.

Students who are facing a potential violation of the Code of Student Conduct will be required to meet with the Office of Student Rights & Responsibilities (OSRR) to discuss the incident.  Student Assistance can meet with a student prior to their meeting with OSRR and assign them a PA to assist in preparing their case. The PA is able to attend any meeting with OSRR for support.

A student wishing to request a PA must discuss this request with a case manager in Student Assistance by calling 315-443-4357(HELP).
